This is one of my favorite songs, however something that I have noticed in the recording in the final chorus there is someone speaking inaudibly in the background. I am curious as to if anyone knows what might be being said? Your help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Mike

I have loved this song since it was released, and I honestly don't recall any voices speaking at the end... are you sure you aren't getting a signal from another radio station cutting in?

Mike,
Time your recording of it somehow, and let us know when you hear the talking in the background, and when you no longer hear the song- for the total song length.

We'll listen to our copies and get back to you.

This just seems like the best way to go about it.

Thanks.

P.S. I am so not trying to think of the Beatles with the message at the end of one of their songs.

Ok, I just listened to the song and the background voice starts at 3:10 seconds into the song and gets more noticable at 3:20 into it. The voice ends at 3:40 of the song when the loud finally ends, and the songs gets silent with lead singer just singing lightly instead.

I've heard something in the background of that song, but thought it was something more like some sound effect or an audio problem which was never picked up and taken out.

I heard it! It says "Bart is dead" or "Paul hates Ringo" or something like that.

Did he die in the service of nobility?

What I'm hearing is someone saying, "Only imagine... only imagine... only imagine..." - and it alternates between the left and right channels.

I forgot I posted this... I haven't checked it out yet. I'm betting pilotfish has it right.
