I fight battles with lies coming into my mind all the time concerning my faith. What lies have come against you?

The lie I fight the most is: You've lost your salvation. The holy spirit isn't in you anymore.

I fight this lie with what I've learned in reading God's Word. With scripture. And speak scripture when the doubts come.

Would you like to share how you handled a spiritual battle?

I find this 'battle' curious. When I am obedient to His sacrifice, in service for the Kingdom and in worship to the king of King I will be obedient, serve and worship. On the other hand when I am defensive, trying to merely 'not sin' or being blatantly disobedient I'm setting myself up failure. Like the adage says a redeemed saint needs to be ready to preach, pray or pass away at a moment notice. I'm not anxious but I'm always ready with my powder dry and primed for all three.

Well it doesn't always have to be a lie. Sometimes it can be something true about you or your situation and it's purpose is to weaken your faith. For example: someone with alcohol problems; it's no lie that he or she has a problem, but the voice of the 'Enemy' is using that truth in order to harm the person in question.
But for me, I don't really struggle with lies, but more with conflicting beliefs. There is plenty of stuff that I hear from other Christians that I disagree with for various reasons. But then I find myself fighting an internal battle on whether or not what I believe is what is right.

It would take me far to long to list them and doing so would give them more attention than they deserve.

I combat them through prayer, complete honesty with God at all times (as much as I am able)
and making sure to know the word is also a really good idea. Knowing what the bible says you are etc can help you spot lies and crush them real quick.

I can second everjoyful's response with all my might.

I find my old nature tells me just enough "close to the truth" lies about myself and all, that it is my biggest enemy.

Satan is not God's opposite, and as such I'm thankful Satan can only be in one place at one time.

But we carry our old dead nature with us everywhere, and mine is stinking up to highest heaven.

The bible tells us to cast down all bad thoughts and imaginations and the lies from Satan are just that. The battle is won or lost in your mind. God did not give us the spirit of fear (lies), but of power, love, and a sound mind. Sounds like you are dealing with a spirit of condemnation as well. The bible says that anything outside of faith is sin. Do not give into what Satan is trying to tell you through these lies, once he has you confused, he has won. Try spiritual fasting and consecrate yourself and the Holy Spirit within you will be victorious.

Even St. Paul had this dichotomy in obedience never faith in Christ Jesus, 'Wretched man that I am! Can anyone set me free to obey righteousness?(Romans 7:24) The(his)solution came in the next verses(25-, 'Yes! Thanks be to God through Christ Jesus our Lord! So then, on the one hand my mind is serving the law of God but on the other with my flesh, the law of sin. Chapter 8-[for] now there’s no condemnation in Christ Jesus. 2 The law of sacrifice in Him has set you free from the judgment of law of death 3 for the Law was weak and could only condemn through the flesh. God did send His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh for justice demands He be condemned in His flesh 4 that the requirement of the Law be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.' The mind of God isn't in our(my) imagination, tradition or prejudice but in our obedience His obedience and Victory. Thanx for reminding us, Gail.

The enemy the devil is such a father of lies. The devil may come to me and tell me that bad things are happening to me today because Jesus is punishing me for my past confessed sins. Then I have to ask myself the question over and over again, do I really believe my Bible? My Bible tells me in Ps.103:12 "as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." So then the question becomes, am I going to believe and trust in the ever sure and never failing promises of God, or the feeling and ideas that come into my head that are contrary to the promises of Scripture? May our faith be tested and found genuine.
