Anyone watching? I really thought that it'll be like Journeyman which I did like the first few episodes and just got bored after awhile. I really enjoyed the first episode. Actually I knew I was hooked during the first chase with the bad guy. Great acting. I love the music - the early 70's and I went whoa when they showed the Twin Towers. It was funny when he was talking about cellphones, Ipods, Diet Coke in 1973--it kinda reminded me of Back to the Future. 'just wondering if he'll ever get back and how is that little boy (future killer) be a part of his life.

I happened to catch it, and also enjoyed it. I hadn't plan to watch it, as American TV tends to murder everything they steal - I mean, imitate - I mean...whatever, from the BBC.

I'll be interested to see if it stays, well, interesting, or just delves into another lame cop show (I didn't see the BBC version, the promos never really interested me).

I'm watching it. It's pretty wierd. I had goosebumps and got teary eyed when I saw the World Trade Towers. chilling!!! It could be an interesting show.

Edit: I REMEMBER the music from the 70's. LOL!! That brings back lOTS of memories.

I pretty much felt the same way. I thought he was looking at a sign showing the year but when they showed WTC - I did have that same feelings.

I thought it was strange seeing his Mom but then realizing that he's back not only in 1973 but in his old neighborhood, it would make sense. I'm still trying to figure out the house that he went on last week's episode and he saw a picture behind the wall. I'm sure there's relevant to that scene in some future episodes.

I rarely watch T.V. (because of the junk) and this has turned out to be a show that , dare I say it, I'm hooked on.

It seems to be a mix between Starsky & Hutch, and the twilight zone lol.

I was never a fan of the former but definately the latter. The intermingled 70s songs really fit the scenes and make it nostalgic which I think that sells to an obvious age group.

What I like about it is that even though there are some elements of the show that are not tasteful, it seems to have an overall message in each episode that is redeeming. I found out a few peopel at church even like it.
If it get's political and/or liberal (like most others are) or disgusting, I will drop it, but have really liked what I've seen so far.

My favorite line was the show before last where the guy from our time says "it looks like a hate crime" to which the cop in the 70s says "as opposed to what? an I really, really like you crime?"

That's one of the interesting fun thing about the show- the mixture of events right in front of his eyes. Like the Nirvana shirt last night, it took me awhile to grasp it but when he blinked, I went like 'ohhh...yeah...what's with the shirt' I'm glad that he's not doing what Bif did from Back to the Future...Sam could start betting on some events but he does not seem like that kind of a guy.

Love that line, even though I have yet to see it (usually watching news). This is going to be my signature.

I was laughing so hard when Sam was doing his Vanilla Ice version . I'm wondering if Angel's baby will be Sam's girlfriend in the future.
The ending, I was expecting him to see himself when he opened the casket.

So did I! That's what makes the show interesting to me is it's not predictable. I did guess the ending of the last but not right away and still wasnt sure till I saw the guy alive. Yea the vanila ice thing was funny.

This was another great show , and how interesting , that it dealt with minorities right after the election. Interestingly timely. Even more elements of faith laced through the show.

I sort of cringed when I saw whoopi was going to be on there because I don't like her as a person because of her wack views, but she played her part well as she always does in movies and didn't make it gawdy or political.

I think my favorite line from this last show was when the black cop sayed, "you know why I know Jesus was black? Because he was into gospel, he called everyone brother, and even he didn't get a fair trial." lol.

That was funny line!

I like how he needed to turn to prayer and that he remembered being a child and praying. Very interesting.

Sam gets to see both his parents on how they made decision when he was a little boy. It was interesting when Sam's Dad called him 'Sammy' when they were in the woods. I'm really enjoying this show and I'm very glad that ABC now decided this is one of the shows to keep. The time slot will also be moved to Wed. starting January...right after Lost. That's way too cool!!!!

I was pretty shocked and unhappy when they announced that piece of information.

Technically, most shows will not be back until January again because of the holidays. I'm just thankful that it'll be back considering the networks are good in yanking out good shows lately. And with a great time slot this time ...after Lost ...yeay!!!!
But then, this is the first time the show ended up with a cliff hanger. The previous episodes ended finishing up the story line but the last episode had that phone call which...yeah...unfortunately...we have to wait for January.

i love "Life On Mars"....i love the original from the BBC better, especially Pete Glennister who plays Gene Hunt on the original BBC version.
The original "Life On Mars" from the BBC only ran 2 seasons cause 2 seasons is really all you can run the story line for & the folks who created Life On Mars only said the story could run for 2 seasons, but i'll tell you that the 2nd season of Life On Mars was awesome!!!!!!!
The American version is doing the same exact episodes as the British version word for word/story for story.
The BBC did a new version of Life On Mars since it was so huge & people wanted more,so the folks who brought Life On Mars to the BBC created a spin off called, Ashes To Ashes which takes place in 1981 & is basically the same story line with a female police detective/psychatrist who studied Sam Tyler's notes he made while he was stuck in 1973 & knew somehow he time traveled.
well,,while she's working on a case she gets shot in the head in 2008 & wakes up in 1981.
Ashes To Ashes has the same cops,,,Gene Hunt etc...& instead of it taking place in Manchester it takes place in London. you find out that Gene Hunt & his crew got transfered to London & you also find out that Sam tyler disappeared while on a case in 1979......
the 1st season of Ashes To Ashes has already run on the BBC & the 2nd & final season of Ashes To Ashes starts in January....
you can watch clips of the original british version of Life On Mars & Ashes To Ashes on youtube...
