A few days ago the following Psalms appeared in my daily readings. I would appreciate any insight or personal musings you could share on your experience with these words:

Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God

Psalm 27:14
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

Thank you in advance.

Meditate on Him and/or his word and feel his presence instead of being distracted by all the things Satan uses to draw us away from God.

It helps to keep a pad of paper and pen handy. When you have distracting thoughts just write them down. Write down all your "stuff" such as remember to take something out of the freezer for dinner. After it's down on paper you can stop worrying about it.

This helps me to get into that quiet state of just listening or being with God. Listening to God is good, but even if you hear nothing from Him, you can still have that feeling of BEING with Him and Making yourself available to Him.

I prefer to read the Scriptures in context. This often tells us what the verse means.

Ps 46:6-11 "Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
Come and see the works of the Lord, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire. "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah"

In context it appears to be telling us not to panic in time of war, but calmly serve Adonai Elohiem because He will be recognized eventually.

Ps 27:7-14 Hear my voice when I call, O Lord; be merciful to me and answer me. My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face, Lord, I will seek. Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior. Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. Teach me your way, O Lord; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors. Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence. I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

In context, this passage appears to say be strong and patient in our personal lives. Even if no one else agrees with us, if we are seeking Adonai, He will reward us with positive results here on earth.

Psalm 5:1-"...Give ear to my words, O LORD; give heed to my sighing. 2 Listen to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you I pray. 3 O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch....11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, so that those who love your name may exult in you. 12 For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover them with favor as with a shield."

Thank you for the comments. A recent issue in my personal probably prompted the verses. But I wanted to glean additional insight just to be certain. God bless.
