Donna, I have never posted on this thread, so I was not aware of the surgery (I am sure that you discussed it on the other thread, but I missed it! ).
I have never been through this, so all I can offer is my love and support and prayers!!
So, you have them!!! I will be praying that everything goes great, that your recovery is quick, and that they kiddos and Brian do well while you are in the hospital (and that your stay is short!!).
I know that you have a lot of questions and concerns. Just make sure that you let yourself rest and recuperate, okay?
Again, wish that I was there to help!!!

((Donna))---thinking of you and praying for you, your doctors, and your family.

I must say that I like Lisa's idea of eating ice cream before going to bed the night before surgery. Might try that next time....if I have to ever have another surgery.

Good Morning, Donna!

You were the very person I thought of when I woke up this morning.

It's about 8:15 where you are, so you're probably already at the hospital. You and your family will be in my prayers today.

I just got a call from Donna's mother. She is out of surgery and doing well. They were able to do the surgery laproscopically. Esther did well too.

Praise God!!

Thanks for posting, Lisa. I was home for lunch & thought I'd check in to see if there was an update. I'm glad to hear that things went well and the doctors were able to do the surgery laproscopically. Yay for Esther doing well too!

Continued prayers for a speedy recovery, Donna.

Sounds like Donna is in for a week of being waited on and being lazy when she wants to be just because she can!!!! You deserve at least that much Donna!!! (Just tell Brian to keep his popcorn on HIS side of the lazy bed!!) . Oh...does it hurt to laugh after something like that? hmmm....maybe I need to not joke with you.....sorry if I hurt you

PRAYING for you still!!

Ok, this is a dumb question, but I don't understand how they could do a hysterectomy laproscopically.

Rebekah, I found THIS via Google.

There are many more websites, as well - just do a search for "laproscopic hysterectomy."

I forgot .. a good place for hysterectomy info is hystersisters.com ... spent a lot of time there after I had mine. Still cruise over there once in a while to see if something I'm experiencing is normal or abnormal at my stage post-surgery.

I think I might have been extra tired because of having to care for a 6-month-old baby, but the tired thing seems to be a theme especially with ones that can't be done laparoscopically. I think it also depends on how much stuff they have to take out ... I had a lot of stuff in there and it was attached to things it shouldn't have been attached to so I had lots of healing to do.

Donna, please let us know how you are!
