I am too! I mean, how else are you going to call me? Aside from the fact that you don't have my telephone # and you don't know me from Adam... But still!

I'm offended that you're offended by that!! I LOVEEEE when the stores put their christmas things out, I could spend hours just looking through the stuff. That reminds me, I've yet to put up my holiday decor. Usually I'm decorated for Christmas before Halloween.

Yeah and plus if people waited until after thanksgiving to do their holiday shopping it would be a hot mess. I'm offended at the amount of christmas cards that read 'happy holidays' instead of 'merry christmas' I don't buy them unless they say Merry Christmas or something to that affect and the selection is horrid :(

I'm offended that Phosy got so much done today, while I huddled in a blanket most of the day. I'm also offended that church flooded and therefore tonight's service was cancelled.

I'm offended by parents who allow their children to run loose like monkeys at church dinner and then let them play tag in the Worship Center. Yes, it is a family worship service and we encourage them to be active in their praise, but honestly- playing tag is not praising the Lord! --Kat

playing tag is not praising the Lord! It's not? How do we know? Are the kids having fun? Sorry, but this is one of those comments that I get offended by. I got into it with a dear brother who has since passed away. he and his wife were responsible for cleaning the church. One morning, well before the service was to begin, I was in the fellowship hall with my kids, one of the pastor's kids and a couple of other kids. The kids were running around, chasing each other and having fun. The man entered the fellowship hall and yelled at the kids. He then commented to me that kids needed to be more respectful in church lkie when he was a kid. I went up to him and told him that I was monitoring the kids and that they were not doing any damage to anything and that I liked the fact that my kids and the other kids like coming to church. That the kids do not see the church building as a place where they have to come and sit and not move for fear of being struck down by God or an angry parent. I just needed to rant!

I tend to agree with Kat. A couple of our worship team members bring their kids with them for rehearsal before our Saturday service and the kids play ball the whole time. Since I'm kind of new, I haven't said anything, but I'm shocked that no one else has. Not only do they run around laughing and yelling during rehearsal, which makes it hard to hear, but that ball--there are screens and speakers and lights and all sorts of things hanging from the ceiling that could be damaged. Anyway, playing ball does tend to last until right before service, so people are coming in while it's still going on and I've seen plenty of people have to jump out of the way to keep from getting hit by a kid or a ball. It's insane.

Kat, Actually I agree with you. e have a multigenerational church as well. There are times that it's not appropriate for the kids to run and be wild. Yet, our church uses the fellowship hall for AWANA games. Therefore the kids get confusing messages about use of the building. In the summer time most of the running occurs outside. But, here in MN, it can get too cold to go outside. I do think that parents have to be responsible about teaching kids to be respectful of other people. Anyway, don't want to hijack this thread. Reading your post hit a button. Yet, I know there are more things to consider.
