In order to be off topic, one must first have a topic.

Greetings, Sir Wintery. May I come and be as off topic here as I am everywhere else?

Of course!

Welcome your majesty! It's actually where I can stick my random thoughts without messing up other threads. I realized it was necessary.

BTW I hear you are famous but I don't know what they are talking about. Is it a magazine or what?

Thank you, kind Sir. It IS nice to have a place of one's own where one can be as random as one wishes. It's good to be the Queen. Or King as the case may be.

Nothing so glamorous as a magazine. It's the Room & Board newsletter emailed to subscribers every Wed. Go HERE and under "Sign up here for newsletters" click on "manage my account". From there you can subscribe to it if you so desire.

Ha! I tend to explain things the way I need stuff explained to me. Step by step and, preferably, with pictures.

Now I gotta try and say something else brilliant somewhere so that I get quoted again and you see me be famous.

Unfortunately, my rare brilliance is usually (okay, always) an accident.

Wow! You are so very normal in your own thread. I have not seen one unusual or bizarre post yet. I may begin to miss that.

All right then...you prompted me WaitingforBoaz and utilityfielder. Behind the scenes wintery weirdness has continued, as I've been watching this video:

Podriamos empezar de nuevo?

And I must say about 2 minutes into this I really want a Coca-Cola!

I was a little kid when that came out I guess and all the songs were on the radio and I didn't know what they were but I'd sing 'em. My grandmother, who didn't listen to the radio, just about had a heart attack when she heard me singing as loud as I could...

Jesus Christ!
Superstar!

My mom had to quickly intervene to keep me from getting a mouthful of soap.

Theologically incomplete, it remains a great vehicle for getting gospel concepts into the minds of some who aren't reached in other ways.

Even now, Wintery? I agree that it was but it seems so dated and strange now, I wouldn't have thought that anyone could still identify with it.

And for some reason the movie Billy Jack just came to mind. I guess I was thinking about pacifist flower children and how odd and removed they seem today.

I vaguely remember that movie. I used to date someone a "real loooonnng time ago" who was into that flick. I really only remember 2 things from the movie, but the song is the only thing worth mentioning here.

yes now

Plus there are other productions all the time, plust Ted Neeley is still doing a farewell tour as Jesus---yeah it's out there. Look on youtube and see the whole 2000 movie version one segment at a time.

Oh yeah it's time travel to look at the early version but knowing the history makes it also interesting--Jesus, Judas and Mary Magdelene all have had real Christian testimonies.

I dug through old Time and Newsweek magazines in the college library years ago until I found an article about JCS. Billy Graham said his only big objection was that it ended with a question instead of confirming the resurrection.
