When you met a girl, what's the first thing you notice? Do you take a second glance? Give the girl a chance to show you her personality before writing her off all together?

Although I'm not in the market, so to speak, its the eyes that catch my eye first.

When meeting or seeing someone the first time, I am attracted to long straight hair that reaches mid back. Long straight black hair with blue eyes is nearly irresistable. Unfortunately, the wrapping is only eye candy and really doesn't have that much value other than making something attractive. Sometimes it is an excellent cloak for something very ugly on the inside.
Someone who laughs alot is also attractive. Probably because I am an introvert and just not that funny and if I get someone to laugh that usually means I am completely oblivious to what I just did.

I always look at the eyes first when I meet someone (male or female), for the eyse say a whole lot about the person.

it is interesting that what I notice first when I look at a woman, and what attracts me to her are rarely the same thing, so giving a girl a second chance is a funny way of putting it,
In my mind, I have a very very detailed manual of what makes a woman a woman & what makes a woman feminine. What I notice first is whatever grabs my eye,

At a glance, on the street: How she carries herself
Closer: Eyes
Second glance? I try to make a point not to, especially when she's dressed immodestly. Neck-and-up is a fine rule to live by.
Give a chance? Yeah, personality is long-lasting, but it's unfair to expect a guy to pursue a woman he's just not into. On the other hand, he shouldn't write girls off right away, since attraction can grow.

One 22 year old telling it HONESTLY....
I notice looks first. I'm pretty into the slender, athletic, blonde/blue types. If she looks like she's Swedish and could win a gold at women's gymnastics at the next summer olympics.....
BUT, it doesn't take long for me to notice other things. A genuine smile, a totally positive attitude, an affirming way, humility, caring.... those are huge and, yes, they are turn ons.

Other then the eyeballs (everybody looks at the eyes when they first meet someone). The teeth! No yellow, grungy, food-caked, tobacco stained, moldy, rotting teeth allowed! Yuk!
